My Story
Hello there!
My name is Sam.
I am a qualified and practicing Counsellor and a Registered Member of the BACP with almost a decades worth of experience. I am an Integrative Counsellor, who works from a Person Centred base. I draw upon therapies and theories such as CBT, Transactional Analysis, Solution Focused, Attachment and Self- Esteem to support clients to work through their experiences. I work with client’s on an individual basis, client’s in relationships, and I also offer a 1-1 ‘Walk and Talk’ therapy.
I hold Registered Teacher Status and have a wealth of education and training experience that includes working with Early Years, Higher Education, Training Academies, EAP’s, Schools, NHS, HM Services and Council’s. My experience encompasses developing a training academy and working with organisations to create wellbeing training packages specific to their needs.
I have provided 1-1 Clinical Supervision for over 2 years and have worked with clients from a variety of backgrounds and services. I am trained in the 7 Eyed Model to support Counsellors explore and reflect on their client work; ensuring they are working safely, ethically and with the client’s best interests in mind.
I have experience working within organisations and teams including Social Services, Care Agencies and Housing Association, delivering team/group wellbeing focused reflection supervision sessions to support the reduction of stress and burnout in the work place.
I first trained in Reiki 1 eight years ago as a means of self-care. I found that for myself and the people close to me, it had such a profound impact on our wellbeing. This motivated me to complete my Reiki 2 so I could share this healing energy ethically with clients and develop further to become a Reiki Master which enables me to train and attune others.
I absolutely love the work I do, nothing compares to working with people; supporting them grow and work towards becoming the best version of themselves.
